Technology Transfer Through Licensing The client is a Japanese manufacturer of power transmission components. R&D had developed and patented several new products. The company wanted to introduce these products to the North American market via a licensing arrangement with a U.S. company. Beta Consulting studied the U.S. market and found seven potential licensees. Beta Consulting then negotiated a license agreement with one company. The keys to the project were correctly identifying potential licensees, presenting the products effectively, and working out an agreement that was fair to both parties. |
